Maybe more of a vermin-hunting party, as the Badger Lord is decked out in armor. The hare is probably a trusted lieutenant who, with his superior vision, is surveying the landscape.

Done over this recent Christmas break, (indirectly) inspired by some chapter updates from a very well-written Redwall fanfiction that I finally had time to catch up on.
